The Pontevedra to Armenteira stage marks the beginning of the Spiritual Variant of the Portuguese Way, a detour that takes you away from the inland route towards the coast and connects with the most mystical essence of the Camino. You will leave Pontevedra heading towards the coast, passing through the picturesque fishing village of Combarro, famous for its hórreos (granaries) facing the sea and stone cruceiros.
